PRE-ACADEMY
U8-U12

Our Pre-Academy offered for players U8-U12 is managed by our professional coaching staff, our Pre-Academy is geared towards the younger players who want to compete at high level, on travel soccer teams, including twice weekly training sessions, weekend home & away games.

 

Pre-Academy youth are encouraged to transition into the WLSC Academy beginning the age 13. We are proud of our player pathways and treat each player with respect and value our relationships.

Games and Training

  • Pre-Academy duration: 1 Year (4-Seasons of Training & 3-Seasons Travel League Play included. ~Tournaments additional)

  • Additional games for Summer Tournaments

  • Age groups include U8/U9 COED, U10/11, & U12

  • Training on Tuesdays and Thursdays

  • Games typically home & away on weekends (Occasional week game)

LEAGUE COSTS

  • $300 average costs per player (WLSC prices differ per family | 10% Siblings Discount Available)

  • Registration fee includes 2 days of team training, 1 game a week, training gear, 

  • Training gear includes 2 training jerseys

  • 2 game day jerseys, 1 short, 1 pair of socks

  • 10% Sibling Discounts will apply during Player Registration.

TEAMS & ROSTERS

  • Both the head coach & assistant coach will have their son or daughter on their respective team

  • One teammate request

OTHER DETAILS

  • Internal Rec League per age group is dependent on the number of sign ups

  • Individual and Team Pictures Package details to be released at a later date

  • Paid referees

Pre-pubescent players from these ages have a special ability to learn. Therefore, this is the right age to work on specific soccer techniques and skills. Developing good technique is essential at this age.

    We offer our Recreation league in the Fall (early Sept. – early Nov) and the Spring (early April – mid June) for 10 weeks.
  • Can I drop my child off or do I need to stay?
    Yes, you can drop your child off. The majority of parents stay during the games.
  • What do I need to bring on the first day? What should I bring every session?
    Depending on what specific Program you sign up for: For Practice Only Program you can bring: Practice Jersey Soccer ball with air (size 3 if your child is 8 or under, size 4 if your child is 12 or under, size 5 if your child is 13 or over) Water Shin guards Sneakers For Practice + League you can bring: Practice Jersey or Game-Day Jersey Soccer ball with air (size 3 if your child is 8 or under, size 4 if your child is 12 or under, size 5 if your child is 13 or over) Water Shin guards Soccer shoes
